30 new jobs created in Cardiff by transport rental giant, Transport Broker Group

Cars for Stars is expanding, and we’re offering 30 outstanding individuals the opportunity to join one of our teams as part of the Transport Broker Group at our new company offices Cardiff.

The Transport Broker Group is a conglomerate business made up of luxury transport hire provider, Cars for Stars, coach hire operator, Coach Broker, and limo hire brokerage, Limo Broker, and over the course of the next 12 months, the company is looking to more than double its workforce following its successful move to new offices in Cardiff.

The new office premises are several times larger than the previous Transport Broker Group headquarters which will help facilitate the company’s planned expansion. As a group, the company has already recruited 15 new staff members in the last month, with plans to recruit a further 30 in the coming weeks.

A variety of positions are available including sales team members, senior positions such as team leader roles, and the company will also be looking to add to its in-house team of web designers, copywriters and marketing officers over the course of the next year as the group continues to grow.

Tej Randeva, Chief Executive of the Transport Broker Group is especially proud of the company’s ability to create jobs in Wales during the difficult economic climate as he said, “While other companies, especially those involved in the transport industry, may be struggling to keep afloat and maintain their workforce, we are increasing ours considerably.”

Discussing the support available for new employees, Mr Randeva had this to say: “We’ve also developed a new in-house training scheme for all new staff members which will enable them to learn about the Transport Broker Group, our values, history and plans for the future and their role within the company so they can hit the ground running and become an asset to our business.”

Last month, the Transport Broker Group was named the 30^th fastest growing business in Wales at the Fast Growth 50 Awards in Cardiff, and with the company’s ambitious development plans for the coming 12 months, TBG are likely to top their previous ranking at the prestigious business awards next year.

Cars for Stars named as a preferred supplier for The X Factor

Leading luxury transport hire provider, Cars for Stars, has been named as a preferred supplier for the hit ITV talent show, The X Factor.

Cars for Stars specialises in the provision of top quality chauffeur driven transportation and has a history of supplying vehicles for hire profile events often chauffeuring celebrity names to awards ceremonies and red carpet events.

Not surprisingly, Cars for Stars were singled out by the hugely popular reality TV show to provide chauffeur driven limo hire for a contestant appearing on the programme’s sister show, the Xtra Factor presented by former X Factor runner up, Olly Murs.

Cars for Stars supplied a top of the range cream coloured stretch Chrysler limousine, also known as the Baby Bentley limo, for filming in London for the Xtra Factor. The chauffeur driven limo was needed to transport an X Factor contestant, although the name of the contestant being chauffeured for the filming has remained top secret.

However, Cars for Stars will be able to reveal all about the contestant’s identity once the segment airs on ITV2 in the coming weeks. We’ll also publish exclusive behind the scenes images from the filming in London featuring the Cars for Stars limo on here very soon.

The X Factor returned to our screens with a new judging panel at the end of last month. Louis Walsh is the only original judge from the 2010 series to make it to the this year’s series and is joined by new faces including Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, Take That singer and songwriter Gary Barlow and N Dubz singer Tulisa. The show is proving as popular as ever despite the judging panel shake up with the opening show drawing in 12.6 million viewers at its peak.

British car maker to launch super limo at Frankfurt Motor Show

British based car manufacturer, Eterniti, is due to reveal the world’s first super SUV at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The limo style vehicle will be hand made in London, with production on the vehicle due to begin early next year.

Automobile manufacturer, Eterniti, has revealed an image of their prototype limo ahead of the car’s debut at the world renowned motor show. The vehicle, which is known as the Hemera, will feature a limo style cabin with electric reclining seats, iPads and drinks chiller, making it an extremely comfortable chauffeur car option.

The body of the new super limo will be based on the Porsche Cayenne, although the vehicle’s 4×4 dimensions coupled with its dynamic performance makes it a practical alternative to the traditional limousine. Due to the compact dimensions of the new style SUV, the model offers the option to be both a self drive and chauffeur vehicle.

The Hemera SUV more than delivers on performance with a top speed of 180mph and 620bhp (brake horse power). The new model promises to bring a touch of luxury to the SUV market.

The prototype Hemera from UK based car makers Eterniti, will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13^th following a press call. The first super SUV limos will go into production at the beginning of next year.

Limo chauffeur tricked by Leona Lewis fans

Leona Lewis’s chauffeur had the wool well and truly pulled over his eyes this weekend after two dedicated fans of the star managed to convince the singer’s driver that they were friends of Leona’s and needed to be let into the back of the luxury car.

The duo must have done a pretty impressive job of twisting the chauffeurs arm, as he agreed to let them in the back of the limo to wait for Leona to finish her performance at the London’s G-A-Y club over the weekend.

However the former X Factor winner had quite a shock when she came off stage and hopped in the back of her waiting chauffeur driven car, only to find two strangers sitting inside. Luckily the 26-year-old Bleeding Love singer took the incident in her stride and instead of throwing a hissy fit and demanding her security remove the fans immediately, Leona politely signed autographs for the pair, before they left the limo of their own accord.

It was a busy weekend for Leona Lewis, not only did she perform live at the Central London nightclub G-A-Y, she also appeared on the new ITV gameshow Red or Black, debuting her new look which is said to have cost £100,000 and created by Kylie Minogue stylist, William Baker. The Ant and Dec presented game show is a new project for Leona’s mentor, Simon Cowell, which explains her appearance of the first show on Saturday night which succeeded in pulling in over 6 million viewers.

The wackiest Rolls Royce Phantom revealed

A retired businessman has spent hundreds of thousands of pounds creating what he hopes will be the wackiest Rolls Royce Phantom ever.

The luxury motor, which has been described as the most highly modified Phantom in the world, has just arrived at the millionaire’s home in Marbella, Spain after undergoing an epic makeover at the hands of a leading car designer in the UK.

62-year-old Robert Allan purchased the Rolls Royce Phantom for £200,000 in silver before employing the expertise of London based car dealer SuperVettura and designer Pablo Rabiella to customise the vehicle.

The unique Phantom was completely stripped down before having 18 layers of paint applied in the three different colours of purple, white and yellow. The interior of the top of the range limo was also transformed with the use of 24 cowhides and also copious amounts of gold. The overall effect is bold and in your face, and guaranteed to prompt a reaction.

The ex-pat has owned a number of customised luxury vehicles in the past, however he wanted to push the boat out with his latest project. The car’s makeover cost the British born businessman in the region of £200,000 to complete however he says it was worth every penny as he wanted to create something which had never been seen before.

Footballer Balotelli hires chauffeur to avoid parking fines

Italian footballer Mario Balotelli has hired a £3,000-a-week chauffeur as he was fed with having to keep paying out for fines.

The 20-year-old Manchester City striker, who earns £100,000-a-week, was reported to have paid out £10,000 in parking fines alone last year. In addition, the sports man had to visit the car pound on 27 different occasions over the last 12 months to retrieve his vehicles after they were taken in by the authorities for different reasons.

As well as being hit with driving fines, the footballer’s much loved Maserati sports car has been the subject of attacks by vandals when parked outside of his home in the Deansgate area of Manchester.

The footie ace has had to shell out thousands of pounds on repair work on his car following the attacks and so made the decision to put his own vehicles into secure storage and to hire a chauffeur permanently to help him get about.

Following the catalogue of mishaps associated with car ownership which have befallen the soccer ace, the Manchester City player hopes his move to hire a chauffeur on a full-time basis will help him stay out of trouble this year.

The former Inter-Milan footballer is now being chauffeured around in a Mercedes limo provided by local private hire company, Elite Cars.

Katy Perry’s chauffeur demands

Katy Perry is very particular about what her chauffeurs can and can’t do while she’s in the car as the singer has dedicated a whole page out of her 45-page concert rider to her chauffeur demands.

The US pop star is currently in the middle of her California Dreams World Tour and has created a concert rider which lists her requirements for the venues at which she’s performing across the globe.

An entire page is dedicated to what the chauffeurs driving the pop star during her world tour are permitted and not permitted to do. Top of Katy’s list of demands is that the chauffeur does not start a conversation with her. The chauffeur is only permitted to speak to the 26-year-old if she initiates the conversation.

Next on Katy’s list of no-nos for her drivers is staring at her in the rear view mirror. Chauffeurs have been warned to keep their eyes on the road, and not on the pop star in the back of the car.

The rider also gives an insight into the likes and dislikes of the firework singer, and it appears carnations are top of her hate list. While her dressing room should be decorated in pink and cream and filled with fresh flowers, under no circumstances should carnations be included in the flower displays!

So if you find yourself driving Ms Perry during her world tour, remember eyes on the road, and only speak when spoken to – you have been warned.
