A Swedish male model is standing trial in London accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on his former girlfriend’s chauffeur.

The court heard from the prosecution that the violent act was motivated by anger as the model, 30-year-old Patrick Ribbsaeter, was furious that his Saudi-princess girlfriend had called off their relationship after catching him with two women at her London flat.

After the princess, Sara Al-Amoudi caught out her boyfriend, the pair went to dinner to discuss their future. They were driven to a restaurant and later to a number of night clubs in a Rolls Royce chauffeured by Sarkis Tokatian, also known as Steve.

The trio returned to the Central London flat where Ms Al-Amoudi declared that Ribbsaeter wasn’t the man for her. She fell asleep, and it was at this point that Ribbsaeter, described as a “gold digger” in court, lunged at the sleeping princess, the prosecution claims.

The chauffeur sprang to Ms Al-Amoudi’s defence, and it was then that Ribbsaeter smashed a glass and stabbed the chauffeur in the face with the broken glass 6 times.

Ribbsaeter denies the charge and insists he acted in defence claiming that the chauffeur, Tokatian was indeed the attacker.

The trial continues at Southwark Crown Court. Patrick Ribbsaeter denies inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and also unlawfully wounding his former girlfriend during the incident.
