Cars for Stars are seeking classic wedding car hire operators to join its network

Cars for Stars are seeking classic wedding car hire operators to join their successful national network of luxury transport providers. If you’re looking for a way to enhance your company’s business potential, joining forces with Cars for Stars will provide you with just the boost you need.

The vintage wedding car hire market is thriving right now with the vast majority of current Cars for Stars classic car hire agents already fully booked for peak wedding dates throughout 2001. For this reason, the luxury transport specialist is looking to recruit a number of new agents onto their books in order to cope with the high number of enquiries the company is currently receiving for classic wedding car hire.

Whether you are a long standing wedding car hire firm with a fleet of 20 cars and limousines, or a self-employed chauffeur with just one vintage Daimler limo, or if you’ve just set up a brand new company specialising in vintage wedding car hire, Cars for Stars wants to hear from you.

When you become an approved agent with Cars for Stars, you only pay commission for the work you receive via the company and nothing else. So for example, if one month you don’t get a single booking from Cars for Stars, you pay nothing in agency fees, so there’s really nothing to lose and a lot to gain from becoming an approved operator with this fast growing company.

Cars for Stars boasts a high web presence with a number of micro sites related to local areas throughout the UK, plus the company’s two main websites and a highly successful news website.

Last month Cars for Stars celebrate the debut of their first ever video viral showcasing limo hire for school proms, something which the firm is planning to build on with new professionally shot viral videos to advertise weddings cars amongst other things.

Cars for Stars operates throughout the UK so wherever you’re based whether it’s London or Glasgow, Cardiff or Gloucester, Liverpool or Birmingham, North Wales or Staffordshire, Bradford or Newcastle, Cars for Stars has an exciting business proposition for you.

Ferrari driving lotto winner fined for using mobile behind the wheel

EuroMillions winner, Ryan Magee from Northern Ireland, was hit with a £200 fine this week after he admitted driving his £157,000 Ferrari while talking on his mobile phone.

The luxury sports car was one of the first purchases Magee made after scooping £6 million on lottery three years ago. With a top speed of 200 mph, the state of the art Ferrari F430 Spider is likely to be top of the wish list for most petrol heads should they be lucky enough to win the lottery.

The 28-year-old was one of 16 people throughout Europe, 6 of whom from the UK, who shared the record jackpot of £95 million. Before the lottery draw, the IT expert said he had a feeling he was going to win, and so bought 11 tickets from 4 different shops.

However, last summer the flashy Ferrari attracted the attention of the police when officers in County Derry in Northern Ireland spotted the millionaire driving the super car while chatting on his mobile phone.

28-year-old Ryan admitted the charge at Londonderry Magistrates Court and was issued with a £200 fine, plus 3 points were added to his licence, and a further fine of £50 was handed down for failure to produce his driving licence when requested.

Car hire customers warned to the read the small print on insurance policies

Car hire customers are being advised to check the small print on the car insurance policies offered by their rental company after a number of holes were exposed in the type of cover which is commonly offered.

Insurance company moneymaxim.com is advising car rental customers to double check their car insurance policy if they opt for the cover offered by their hire provider after it found that many of the policies being offered, don’t always cover common problems such as damage to windscreens and tyres.

The issue could be especially problematic during the winter period when bad driving conditions and icy road surfaces often lead to a rise in claims.

The insurance specialist believes many car rental customers take out the policy offered to them by the rental provider, believing it will offer them complete cover. But the reality is, a number of the policies offered have gaps in them which don’t cover for basic damage, which could leave the customer out of pocket, should they be unlucky enough to have a mishap in their rental vehicle.

The advice being given by the British Insurance Broker Association is for car hire customers to clarify exactly what the policy covers them for, before signing on the dotted line.

Manchester limo hire chauffeur warns of robbery threat

A Manchester limo hire boss took to a popular industry chat forum this week to warn other chauffeurs in the area to be vigilant after he believes one of his chauffeurs was targeted by a gang of would-be robbers.

The incident was reported by online industry magazine, The Chauffeur. Explaining what happened, the limo hire operator described how a gang of four Eastern European men had pulled alongside one of his hummer limos to tell the driver that one his back wheels looked damaged after the chauffeur had just dropped off a client at an inner city address.

However the chauffeur suspected the gang may have been attempting to distract him in order to steal the luxury hummer limousine, and so ignored their warning.

Upon returning to the limo hire depot, the chauffeur examined the hummer only to find there was no problem whatsoever with the vehicle. Given this, the Manchester based limousine hire operator believes the gang of men were attempting to distract the driver with their story in order to get away with the vehicle.

Following the incident, the boss of Earls Wedding Cars took it upon himself to warn other limo hire providers in the area to take extra caution while driving in the area in case the gang plan to target other luxury car or limo hire drivers in the future.

Introducing the world’s biggest limousine, the Midnight Rider

The Midnight Rider has been officially named as the heaviest limousine in the world, according to the most recent edition of the Guinness Book and Records, and can be yours for just £650 an hour.

Weighing in at a whopping 22.5 tons, measuring 70 foot in length, 13 feet in height and boasting 22 wheels, the Midnight Rider is a beast of a limousine and is proving a big hit with revellers in California.

With room onboard for 40 passengers, the Midnight Rider also comes with 5 staff members who will be on hand to assist guests during their event. The limo comes fully equipped with 3 luxurious lounge areas, a bathroom, and a full size and well stocked bar. Plus there’s a pole for any wannabe dancers, and also a laser guided satellite receiver with internet capability.

The owners of the Midnight Rider wanted to create a high end luxurious feel onboard the limo which harks back to the bygone age of opulent railroad travel. The decor has been finished with impeccable detail in the style of an old fashioned train carriage.

Described by its owners as “460 square feet of pure luxury” they say the vehicle is less of a limo and more of a “travelling nightclub” due to the extensive onboard entertainment features and spacious interior.

If you’re not planning a trip across the pond to California any time soon, Cars for Stars has a stunning array of luxury limos and giant hummers available for hire across the UK. Call now to receive a low cost quote for hummer limo hire for any occasion.

Bristol businesses turning to chauffeur driven car hire as cost of rail fares soar

It’s been reported that chauffeur driven private hire companies in Bristol are seeing an increase in business from local companies as many are turning to their services to make savings as the cost of rail travel continues to rise.

With many Bristol based businesses needing to travel to London on a regular basis for meetings and functions, the cost of travel via rail can really mount up for companies sending more than one employee at a time on business trips to the capital. Plus, selected rail operators are planning fare rises in the New Year, which means the cost of travelling by train is due to escalate further.

With the cost of two first class return rail tickets for a peak period costing as much as £440, but a chauffeur driven car with the capacity to carry up to four passengers priced from £275, many companies are opting for the chauffeur option as there are great savings to be made.

While weddings and special events such as birthdays and nights out used to be the bread butter jobs for chauffeur hire operators, the tide is slowly turning for some Bristol transport providers who’ve reported a marked increase in corporate contracts.

While most companies are attempting to make cut backs during this time of economic uncertainty, the trend of hiring a chauffeur driven car as opposed to travelling by rail, could be something we could see repeated across the UK, spelling good news for all private hire operators.

Charles and Camilla’s Rolls Royce limo attacked by student protesters

Royal couple Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall became the most high profile faces to get caught up the student protest over tuition fee increases when their chauffeur driven Rolls Royce limo was attacked in Central London yesterday.

Charles and Camilla were making the short journey from St James Palace to the London Palladium for this year’s Royal Variety Performance when they came under attack from protesters on Regent Street.

Once the protesters spotted the Royal couple travelling onboard the Rolls Royce surrounded by police security they set about targeting the vehicle, throwing bins in the road to stop the car, pelting it with objects and paint, kicking the doors and at one point, smashing a window on the luxury car.

Photographers captured the terrified looks on the royal’s faces as their vehicle was pounced on by the protestors, with Camilla in particular, looking especially shaken.

It was estimated that some 20,000 students took to the streets bringing parts of central London to a standstill yesterday as they protested over the Government’s plans to increase University tuition fees. In some cases fees could be tripled at a cost of £9,000 per year for each student.

Following the Royal’s official engagement at the London Palladium, they were transported back to St James Palace in the back of a police van for their own safety.
