untitledWith a wide body and 549bhp the Mercedes have surpassed themselves with the unveiling of the AMG GT Roadstar, with the variant C set to outshine every other car at the Paris Motor Show later this month. Sporting a 4.0-litre twin-turbo motor the car casually get from  0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, showcasing beauty and ability in abundance.

Highlights

Enjoying an AMG performance exhaust as well as an electronic differential as standard, the car is out to impress, with the engine and its design fine-tuned to attract every modern-day driver. As 57mm more rear width than the standard Roadster version everything is just a little bit bigger and better, built with swollen bodywork to make room for the wider track and wheels.

Top Gear Magazine talks us through many other interesting feature from the German car-makers.

‘It also borrows active aero flaps behind the front bumper from the R, minimising drag when the engine’s cruising or maximising cooling when it’s working hard. New for the C is a shorter first gear ratio for the seven-speed twin clutch, and a longer seventh, plus an active pop-up rear spoiler that extends and retracts depending on speed and transmission mode.’

Giving new customers complete control over the features they wish drivers can choose to have their soft-top in black, red or beige, with the C variant coming in a whole rainbow of colours.

Many have predicted a price of £110,510 for the C Roadster, placing it at the top end of the spectrum. But, does it warrant this type of money? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.
