Justin Bieber caught parking electric sports car illegally

Chart topping international pop star, Justin Bieber, had a slight run-in with the law over the weekend after he parked his flash electric sports car illegally while out shopping in Beverley Hills. Luckily for the 18-year-old singer, the police officer seemed to be a Bieber fan and let the Baby Baby singer off without a ticket.

The Fisker Karama electric powered sports car was a recent gift from Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter. The luxury sports car is estimated to be worth $116,000 and is hardly the most indiscreet car as it features attention-grabbing chrome paint so Bieber is unlikely to be able to get away with much, including parking illegally, in this eye-catching ride.

The paparazzi were on hand to capture the moment Justin Bieber was pulled up by the law for parking his new sports car where he shouldn’t have. The teenager was strolling around Beverley Hills looking relaxed in a baseball cap and jeans when the officer approached him. However the officer was openly smiling when chatting to the singer so it appeared Justin was able to get off with a friendly talking to.

Justin was presented with the Fisker Karma chrome sports car while appearing as a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show. The singer’s manager surprised him with the luxury car as a surprise gift to mark his 18th birthday. It seems the teen star is enjoying his present to the max as he and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, are regularly been spotted out and about in LA driving the rare sports car.

Ferrari smash caused by driver swerving to avoid hedgehog

A German businessman found himself with a battered Ferrari and a bill for £30,000 after he swerved to avoid hitting a hedgehog on a woodland road.

The 53-year-old Ferrari driver spotted the small animal in his headlights while driving down a road in Germany close to a forest. To avoid hitting and killing the small hedgehog, German businessman, Joerg Daecher, slowed down and attempted to steer the powerful Ferrari Testarossa away from the animal, however the sports car skidded on wet leaves and ended up colliding with a crash barrier.

The accident happened on Friday close to a wooded area near Eschershausen, Germany. No other vehicles, save the classic 1995 sports car, were involved in the crash.

While both the driver and the hedgehog were uninjured following the accident, the same could not be said for the red Ferrari which had sustained considerable damage to its frontage as the bumper had been ripped clean away after colliding with the barrier.

The state of the art Ferrari sports car, which is believed to cost in the region of £85,000 brand new, is expected to cost the businessman approximately £30,000 to put right following the hedgehog near-miss crash.

Chauffeur sells Damien Hurst sketch for £4,500

A chauffeur who was given a sketch by contemporary artist Damien Hurst as a thank you for an enjoyable journey, has sold at auction for a massive £4,500, 15 times more than the estimate price placed on the item.

The unnamed chauffeur expected to sell the biro sketch from an autograph book for between £250 and £500 however when the Hurst original went under the hammer, a bidding war broke out with the sketch selling for a final price of £4,500.

It’s understood that the renowned artist quickly sketched an outline of a sharp in about 30 seconds while sitting in the back of a car. The sketch depicts a shark, which is likely to be a reference to Hurst’s most famous work, “The Physical Impossibility of death in the mind of someone living” which was a tiger shark immersed in formaldehyde.

The Damien Hurst sketch with the biro drawn image of a shark features an original signature from the artist and also a brief message which reads “A great drive xxx” stretching across two pages on a pink page as part of the chauffeur’s autograph book. The artist presented the driver with the off-the-cuff sketch after the chauffeur drove him to a TV studios in London several years ago.

The sketch was eventually bought by an anonymous British collector following the auction which took place over last weekend.

Traveller lotto winner splashes his winning on luxury cars

A traveller whose daughter featured on the latest series of the Channel 4 documentary, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, is celebrating after scooping the jackpot on the National Lottery.

Father of four, Jason Stanley, won £1 million after matching his numbers in a lottery draw in February. The horse trader wasted no time in getting in hands on the cheque, spending £200,000 on a Bentley convertible.

The lotto winner’s daughter, Angel, appeared in the Channel 4 documentary earlier this year. The 13-year-old is bucking the trend in the traveller community as she continues to attend school, while many of her contemporaries on the traveller site where she lives opt out of school before they begin secondary education.

Speaking in a newspaper interview following her father’s lottery win, Angel says she’s waiting for her father to treat her after her brother, Alfie, was given a white Mercedes sports car worth £50,000. However the teenager’s expectations are slightly lower as she revealed she’d really like some new designer clothes to wear at the traveller event of the year, Appleby Horse Fair, and also some money to put in the bank.

The first purchase Jason Stanley made was a midnight blue state of the art Bentley which was estimated to be worth £200,000, followed by a second luxury car, a Mercedes Coupé for his 17-year-old son – not bad for a first car!

Going out in style – Introducing the Rolls Royce Phantom hearse

Want to travel in style and luxury even after you’ve shuffled off this mortal coil? Then coachbuilders, Biemme Special Cars, probably had you in mind when they came up with the design for the world’s most luxurious hearse.

The Rolls Royce Phantom Hearse will receive its official debut at the Tan Expo in Bologna, Italy where the 23 foot long Roller will be showcased to its full glory. The customised Rolls Royce benefits from a raised roof and elongated shape so as to allow the transportation of coffins of all sizes. It’s believed to be the longest hearse in existence at 7 metres in length, 3 metres longer than the average Phantom model.

While the Rolls Royce Phantom hearse B12 looks like an overgrown Phantom from the outside, under the bonnet it is a standard Phantom ll model with a 6.75 litre V12 engine. The customised hearse also benefits from specially created coach hung rear doors, and the trademark Rolls Royce grill complete with the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy sitting on the front of the bonnet.

However, this luxurious hearse does come with a hefty price tag, an eye-watering £418,000 to be exact. Do you think this new standard of premium hearses will catch on with undertakers across the world? Is there a demand for luxury hearses? Let us know your thoughts by dropping us a comment below.
