Branded a ‘game-changer’ by many manufacturers and sports car hire companies, we at Cars for Stars thought we would take a deeper look at what the Urus has to offer.
Like Rolls Royce and many other top carmakers, Lamborghini has placed focus on the SUV market. Launching what they are calling the ‘world’s first super-SUV’, Lamborghini has chosen to install a V8 engine in the Urus; something you rarely see in an SUV.
Unveiled in South Africa last week, the car has gone down a storm with car industry players and potential customers alike. Credited for its sleek exterior and amazing engine capability, its creators have cleverly combined SUV design with supercar styling.
Expected to come up trumps when it comes to sales, Lamborghini recently said that the Urus is planned to double Lamborghini sales around the world. Catering to such demand, the carmakers are now working hard to reduce waiting times for customers.
“We think 12 months is the maximum customers are prepared to wait, and we want to reduce the waiting time as soon as possible” says Lamborghini chairman and CEO, Stefano Domenicali.
While thrilled to see so many people taking interest in this car, the boss is also insistent that supercars will always sit at the centre of the brand.
Let us know what you think; will Lamborghini stay true to its supercar routes?
