Lamborghini Sales Rise by 51% in 2018

2018 was a big year for Lamborghini, with the launch of the Urus repositioning the brand as one of fine, modern car craftsmanship. Showing Lamborghini’s breadth of design talents, the Urus has successfully driven the carmakers sales up, responsible for a huge 46% of Lamborghini’s overall sales in 2018.

While only introduced in the middle of the year, the Urus contributed to the brand enjoying a 51% sales increase overall; a statistic they were eager to share.

According to sources, 1,761 Urus vehicles were bought in 2018, upstaging some of the best-selling models like the Lamborghini Aventador as well as the famous Lamborghini Huracan. That said, the Aventador and the Huracan still witnessed an increase in interest, with sales up from 1,173 to 1,209 and 2,642 to 2,780 respectively.

International interest

It is not just us Brits who love to treat ourselves to a Lambo. Statistics from the firm show that last year drew more interest from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, America and Asia than ever before.

In 2019, the Urus is again expected to take centre stage at showrooms across the globe, being promoted at the front of the Lamborghini line up.

Lamborghini’s boss, Stefano Domenicali, said that the “quantum leap [in sales] proves the sustainability of product and commercial strategy”.

He also celebrated the car for “creating enthusiastic market acceptance and broadening [the] customer base”.

Here at Cars for Stars, we have also witnessed an increase in appetite for Lamborghini brands, with our supercar rental services heavily in demand throughout last year. Hired for all sorts of occasions, we were thrilled to share our stunning range of Lamborghinis for wedding days, birthday parties, prom celebrations, corporate events, sports event, music concerts and much more.

Let us know what you think about this. Will the Italian supercar brand enjoy yet another record-breaking year? Share your thoughts and opinions with us.
