At Cars for Stars, we love nothing more than hearing of innovative carmakers; especially those focused on the wonderful, niche market of limousine production. This is why we were rather intrigued (and excited) to come across a Land Rover in Ireland being used as a limo.
According to sources, a man from Ballymurphy bought the old Land Rover once used by the RUC, and turned it into a limo, parking the dark green tank on his Mum’s drive (to the dismay of her neighbours).
Bought by West Belfast man, Art Corbett, the vehicle is humongous in size and character, unlike anything else you will see on the roads these days.
Made back in the 1970s, the original version of the car has a pretty colourful history and interesting backstory. Having featured in the popular 80s film, Maze, this was a well-known car that most of you will recognise.
He said: “There’s been a lot of interest this time round as well. I’ve had enquiries about weddings and parties already and I only got it on Friday.”
At Cars for Stars, we completely understand why such a car would conjure up a great deal of interest. Having been offering limo hire for close to twenty years, what we have found is that the more unusual the limo, the more people want to travel inside it.
If you like the idea of travelling to your wedding, prom or just around the city in a novelty limo or chauffeur car then you are certainly on the right website. This is beacuse at Cars fo Stars, we are the leading authority for limo hire, offering thousands of deals through our online booking system.
