As the hottest Royals of our time, Harry and Meghan are incredibly in demand, flying here, there and everywhere for all sorts of engagements.

And, this week they make their way to South Africa.

According to sources, the famous couple decided to ship their own Range Rovers over to the country ahead of their arrival. But, this wasn’t for vanity reasons, wanting to use their own cars due to ‘security concerns’.

Apparently, The Palace struggled to source vehicles that met Harry and Meghan’s security standards in South Africa, wanting to retain control and use their own, approved SUVs.

Though this does make sense from a safety point of view, it does come at a time when the Royals are being criticised for their lavish transport.

Just last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were under fire for their constant use of private jets, criticised for using the taxpayers money on luxury cars and refraining from travelling in a sustainable manner.

One Royal follower said:

“I live in SA for years. Armoured vehicles are everywhere.”

Suggesting that shipping British-registered cars was an unnecessary expense, social media users understandably reacted when seeing Meghan climb in and out of these extravagant cars.
