Ferrari celebrates 70th birthday with 70 unique units

Ferrari is undeniably one of the most premium and luxurious car brands on the planet. The giant sports car brand has built an unprecedented reputation all over the world, producing some of the finest and flashiest sports cars ever to be in existence. Ferrari are an Italian sports car brand based in Maranello, and built their first sports car in 1940. However, their first launched sports car with the famous Ferrari badge was launched in 1947, which makes their 70th birthday party this year.

Of course, every birthday needs a celebration, and a 70th birthday is quite an occasion indeed, and deserves a huge party, which is exactly what Ferrari have planned! However, for such a highly esteemed brand as Ferrari, simply throwing a party isn’t quite enough to celebrate such a monumental occasion. As a far more fitting tribute, Ferrari are planning to unveil 350 special-edition models of their world-famous sports cars.

The brand will be custom designing 70 unique and special units for all of their five models, the 488 Coupe and Spider, the California T, the GTC4Lusso and the F12 Berlinetta, making a total of 350 custom Ferraris as the ultimate celebration.

The 350 limited edition Ferrari vehicles come from Ferrari’s special Tailor Made Programme, which is a programme where the most valued customers of the company are invited to work with the factory to create a unique vehicle, which is truly an incredible experience for any Ferrari lover. Each of the unique cars will be crafted from iconic Ferrari liveries from the brand’s rich history, drawing on past liveries that have helped build the brand to the giant it is today. No two cars will be the same from this special collection, with each vehicle having a completely unique finish that will not be duplicated.

There will be a special commemorative badge on each of these limited edition, one-of-a-kind anniversary Ferraris to mark the occasion, and some of the vehicles are dedicated to individuals almost as iconic as the brand itself – one titled ‘The Schumacher’, which truly needs no introduction, and a California T which is inspired by the legendary Steve McQueen’s 250 GT Berlinetta Iuso.

In true Ferrari fashion, all 350 of these custom cars have already sold out and did so in a flash, as quick as a Ferrari some might say; now that certainly is a way to celebrate your birthday in style.
