Renowned for their quirky sense of humour and ‘anything goes’ attitude Ant and Dec are certainly full of surprises, characters that you may not want at your wedding. However, one bride, Charlotte Astle, was completely over the moon to have her wedding gate-crashed by the comedy duo, with the ITV favourites disguising themselves as wedding chauffeurs.

The 27-year-old dance teacher had been a fan of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway for many years, with meeting the two men being a life-long dream. Understanding her love for the show her husband, Andy, got in touch with the production team, explaining how featuring them on the show would make his wife’s big day that bit more special.

<h3>The perfect chauffeurs </h3>

With waiting for your wedding car being a very poignant part of the wedding experience Charlotte was hugely surprised when Ant and Dec, both 40, turned up at her mother’s house, proving to be the best wedding present of all.

Charlotte said: “Having Ant and Dec surprise me on my wedding day was a dream come true.

“My reaction was such a blur that I’m lucky it was captured on film.

“The drive to the church with the boys and my dad was hilarious. Ant and Dec were just as lovely and down to earth as I imagined.”

Used as a feature on the show footage captures the moments before the surprise. With Ant driving he says to Dec in the passenger seat: “So do you want to surprise someone on their wedding day?”

Noticed by the bridesmaids the whole wedding party lets out screams of excitement , heading over to the car to take selfies with the stras before heading off to the church.
