X-Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson almost quit the show

X-Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson made the shock admission this week that she almost quit the show because she hated being parted from her two young children.

24-year-old Rebecca had been tipped from her very first audition as a possible winner for this year’s X-Factor, however the modest Liverpudlian revealed her dreams of stardom were almost cut short as she battled to keep going on the hit ITV show because she missed her children so much.

Rebecca is a single mother to 5-year-old Lillie May and 4-year-old Karl and said she found herself questioning whether the separation from her little ones was worth it.

The singer made the admission during an exclusive secret gig organised by TalkTalk. She said she started to question whether the sacrifice of missing her kid’s birthdays and first days at school was actually worth it. However this seems to have been a blip as the scouser said the wobble has made her more determined than ever to succeed in the show.

Following last week’s results show on Sunday night, Rebecca was snapped leaving the ITV studios in tears, being comforted by Katie Waissel who’d just been booted off the show.

With just two weeks left until the all-important final, the end is most definitely in sight for the talented mother of two, and we bet she can’t wait to make the finish line.
