Wills and Kate are the couple of the year with their spectacular wedding nuptials being watched by millions of people worldwide. It is their relatable nature that has drawn so many people in, with the sceptical amongst us taking more of a shine to the monarchy than ever before.

It is safe to say that they have had a pretty busy 2013 with the introduction of their first child, George. It seems that the royals are going into the new year with a bang, hiring a £250,000 Bentley Flying Spur to chauffeur them around to prior engagements.

The specially adapted Flying Spur has a top speed of 200mph and a catalogue of impressive security features. Such incorporations include triple-glazed bulletproof windows to ensure the highest standard of safety is achieved as well as steel armour plating for immense protection.

The tyres are said to be around three tons each, designed to stay inflated in the case of a puncture. Obviously we expected such features but what modifications or impressive attributes can we expect from a royal car?

The car has beautiful walnut interior, wi-fi Internet access as well as a champagne cooler.

The couple arrived in the leased Bentley during their recent visit to the Natural History Museum in London, turning  the heads of the nation on their arrival.

According to Bentley’s official website the car is fitted out to the highest standards and features fit for a king.

“Every seam in the A-Grade leather is individually sewn. Every layer of veneer is lacquered and polished by hand.

“The entire cabin, from the wood and the leather to the architecture that supports the car’s digital technology has been fitted by hand.”
