When we think of the Rolls Royce brand, we tend to think of sophistication and class, with Rolls Royce being all about finery. However, the British brand are now looking to attract the surfer dudes and dudettes of the world, launching a bespoke Rolls Royce with its own surfboard attached to the roof.
Expected to be launched this year, the Rolls Royce Ghost looks pretty spectacular, with images released online causing a real frenzy.
The famous surfboard is owned by a customer that purchased a Ghost at last year’s Cannes Hot Spot. Created from four different types of wood, when it comes to surfboards, this one is pretty spectacular. For the surfboard-lovers amongst us, the board is a perfect blend of American Walnut, Ripple Sycamore, Figured Anigre and Birch veneer. In addition to fine wood, the board also boasts 24-carat gold leaf; being ft 2 inches in size.
But, why use the roof of a Ghost over a Phantom? Well, according to a review site, CNet, below are just a few reasons:
“It’s serene ride comes by way of a 6.6-liter V12 putting out 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. It might play second fiddle to the Phantom, but with a base price north of $300,000, it’s still every bit as luxurious as you’d expect from a car with the Spirit of Ecstasy out front.”
The tour
Set to tour the Mediterranean, Rolls Royce will take this wonderful vehicle through Cannes, Marbella and on the Andalusian coast. Alongside this bespoke Ghost, Rolls Royce will also take a few other favourites on the journey. This includes a Dawn convertible, the new Phantom, as well as the Cullinan SUV. During the tour, potential customers will enjoy guided tours from Rolls-Royce’s product experts.
Let us know what you think, was this bespoke Ghost worth the time and effort that went into it?
