Rendering Artist Imagines Rolls Royce Cullinan Pickup

Rolls Royce is a traditional car brand that has for years been associated with first class chauffeur cars. However, as time has gone on, they have started to try their hand at new things, shocking us all when they entered the SUV market with the Rolls Royce Cullinan a few years back.

Now, people are starting to imagine what Rolls Royce could do with other types of vehicles.

Just this week, Rendering artist, Rain Prisk, revealed his latest project, creating a design for what is being called ‘the most luxurious pickup in the world’.

Rethinking the Rolls Royce Cullinan’s iconic design, images revealed have well and truly created an appetite for a luxury Rolls Royce pickup.

Putting more space between the doors and wheels, the futuristic Roller is longer than the real-world version. What’s more is that the black fender flares give the car that conventional pickup look, cleverly combining luxurious design with practicality and off-road ability.

Many are placing comment on the roof spoiler also; a part of the design that ensures its sporty look.

What do you think, would you like to see a Rolls Royce pickup brought to market? We know we certainly would!

Bentley Recreates 1939 Corniche Performance Saloon

Bentley is a car manufacturer renowned for its innovative, interesting side projects. Constantly working on new, futuristic models, the news is always filled with stories of new tech-riddled models being unveiled.

However, Bentley’s latest project is very much focused on the car designs of yesteryear, bringing a piece of car history back into the limelight.

According to sources, the British car brand has recreated the 1939 Corniche performance saloon, a car heavily ingrained within Bentley’s history.

With the only version of the vehcile destroyed 80 years ago, the manufacturers are pleased to have unveiled the stunning saloon. Named after the coastal French roads and built completely from scratch, this project was very much a labour of love for Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house bespoke division.

A Bentley spokesman said the Corniche’s rebirth is “proof that we have the skill to do restorations of this complexity”. This suggests that we could see the resurrection of many other vintage Bentleys.

Rolls Royce Unveils the Ultimate Collectable Ghost

Rolls Royce, one of the most reputable, iconic car brands of all time, has the week unveiled its latest creation. Coming in the form of a new Ghost collection, these vehicles have been launched to mark the model’s 10- year anniversary.

Wanting to celebrate the global car sensation, Rolls Royce decided to launch the Zenith collection. This is a limited edition collection made up of just 50 Rollers.

Very much paying homage to the Ghost as well as original Rolls Royce variations of the car, these vehicles boast incredible details and features both inside and out. From the newly-created bodywork colours to hand-crafted wooden marquetry design installed in the door panels, the Zenith Ghosts are completely original.

Those lucky enough to get their hands on one of the 50 cars will be able to choose from a range of two-tone colour schemes. These include Iguazu Blue with Andalusian White, Premiere Silver with Arctic White or a daring Bohemian Red with Black Diamond.

Another feature that has gotten everyone talking is the ambient lighting, providing an unparalleled cabin experience that we would only expect from Roll Royce.

Though just one of Rolls Royce’s fine creations, the 2009 Ghost broke the mould, changing the image of the vehicle brand indefinitely. Being smaller than all of its predecessors, the Ghost was all about the driving experience rather than the chauffeur experience.

‘The Ghost is the most successful Rolls-Royce ever created and the Zenith Collection marks an important milestone in our modern history,” says chief executive officer Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

“It presents an entirely forward-looking study of the unique characteristics that have seen Ghost ascend to the status of the most progressive super-luxury saloon ever conceived.”

If you are a fan of the Rolls Royce Ghost then why not hire one for an upcoming event? Search, compare and book your very own Roller using our online booking system now.

£200,000 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Replica Unveiled

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a childhood favourite of many of ours, with the flying, sailing car unlocking our imaginations and kickstarting our love for innovative vehicles.

But, one man from High Wycombe has taken his love for the 60s film a little further, dedicating 6 years of his life to building a replica model of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

The 52 year old, who is a professional musician, wanted to purchase the original car when it was available in 2011. However, the vehicle was far too expensive. But, what the experience did was give him the inspiration to build his very one replica; a project that proved to be rather lucrative. Now, his replica is said to be worth a staggering £200,000.

Having to source special parts from all over the world, the process took a lot longer than once thought. This was mainly down to the car’s complex shape, boasting completely unconventional curves.

Rob, the mastermind behind the car, said: “I’ve been a life-long Chitty fan of the car, the movie and the musical- have always dreamed I’d own Chitty myself one day.

“It’s still my favourite film, I know the lyrics by heart and I adore the music.

Noise Cameras Could See Supercar Drivers Fined £1000 for Noise Pollution

Kensington and Chelsea, two areas renowned for having streets full of supercars, could soon have noise cameras installed. These are cameras that can detect who is roaring their engines too loud. If caught on camera, drivers will face fines of up to £1000, issued with penalties for noise pollution.

Able to measure vehicle sound levels up to a certain decibel, the cameras then take an image of the number plate on the vehicle and automatically issue the fine.

This comes as a result of a rise in reports of noise in the district, with supercar drivers eager to outdo each other and show off their engines by racing through wealthy areas.

Calls for such devices have also been heightened as a result of footage that made its way to the internet. The clip showed a pricey, speedy Audi 4×4 smashing into a long line of supercars, causing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage and great levels of noise.

Johnny Thalassites, Kensington and Chelsea councillor, has written to Transport Secretary Grant Shapps to request these cameras in the district.

He said: “Powerful cars need careful handling and, unfortunately, our borough has seen and heard how certain drivers mistake our streets for a car show.

“This has been going on for years and it’s reaching crisis point.

“Acoustic cameras would give us a powerful new tool to catch drivers flouting the rules of the road.”

If these trials are successful, we could see these cameras installed throughout the UK.

What do you think. Will having these cameras in your local area be a good thing? Share your thoughts and opinions with us.

Audi Request Cars Back After Exiting Sponsorship Deal With

Just this week, German car giants, Audi, ended their sponsorship agreement with Barcelona, no longer sponsoring Camp Nou as they have been for many years.

As a result, the vehicle manufacturers have ordered the return of various cars that they lent out, some of which were being used by the club’s high-profile football players.

Last year, Audi’s Christian Guenthner told said: “For official business occasions they use their Audi. During the selection process Audi and the club work hand in hand.

“Players can choose from the whole range of models, usually starting with smaller cars for the younger players.

“They each get to choose a new model every season with a lot of optional extras. And with our Audi Exclusive catalogue options, there are infinitely many possibilities.”

Players asked to hand over their keys include the legendary Lionel Messi who opted for a Audi RS 6 Avant worth £130,000. Teammate, Ivan Rakitic, chose a Audi Q7 worth a respectable £65,000 as his chosen whip.

Though having been aligned with the club for over 13 years, Audi has given the club and its players just three weeks to return the cars to them, seeing them have to act quickly and find alternative transport.

According to sources, Audi are likely to sell these cars off and make some real profit on the re- sale market, capitalising on their celebrity associations.

Let us know what you think, was it fair for Audi to give Messi and co just a few weeks to return their vehicles? Share your thoughts and opinions with us.

Bentley Turn to Bee-keeping

Though known for creating gas-guzzling, high-powered cars, Bentley is also a car manufacturer doing their bit for the planet.

According to a recent press release, the British carmakers will be welcoming 120,000 new workers into their headquarters in Crewe. These will however come in the shape of two beehives.

The hives will be situated at the edges of the site, helping them achieve their biodiversity plans for the next few years. Wanting to do their bit and position themselves as a responsible brand, the firm are embarking on a biodiversity initiative that is being credited by eco worries and industry figureheads alike.

Peter Bosch, Bentley’s manufacturing chief, said:

‘We already have the largest solar car port in the UK on our site – which means that all of our electricity use is now either solar or certified green – so we’ve also started to look at ways we can use our site to increase local biodiversity.

‘Bee populations are in decline in the UK, so installing two hives to help boost biodiversity is a great way to make use of the grassland at the edge of the site.

The World’s First Military Limo Unveiled

At Cars for Stars, we love nothing more than hearing of innovative carmakers; especially those focused on the wonderful, niche market of limousine production. This is why we were rather intrigued (and excited) to come across a Land Rover in Ireland being used as a limo.

According to sources, a man from Ballymurphy bought the old Land Rover once used by the RUC, and turned it into a limo, parking the dark green tank on his Mum’s drive (to the dismay of her neighbours).

Bought by West Belfast man, Art Corbett, the vehicle is humongous in size and character, unlike anything else you will see on the roads these days.

The limo

Made back in the 1970s, the original version of the car has a pretty colourful history and interesting backstory. Having featured in the popular 80s film, Maze, this was a well-known car that most of you will recognise.

He said: “There’s been a lot of interest this time round as well. I’ve had enquiries about weddings and parties already and I only got it on Friday.”

At Cars for Stars, we completely understand why such a car would conjure up a great deal of interest. Having been offering limo hire for close to twenty years, what we have found is that the more unusual the limo, the more people want to travel inside it.

If you like the idea of travelling to your wedding, prom or just around the city in a novelty limo or chauffeur car then you are certainly on the right website. Blackburn Prom Queen Pays £500 to Rent Crystal-covered Roller for 15 minutes!

If you ever attended a prom you will know just how difficult it can get when wanting to upstage your friends. This is why many choose to rent lavish cars, going head-to-head with fellow attendees to make the biggest entrance possible.

However, one Blackburn student has arguably made history, arriving at her school prom in a breathtakingly unique Rolls Royce.

According to sources, Isha Sanah Akhtar, 16, turned heads at the beginning of the month when she arrived at her school prom in a crystal-covered white Rolls Royce. Adorned in over 4 million Swarovski diamonds, this rare Roller was the talk of the town, said to have cost £500 to hire for 15 minutes.

She said: “Ever since I’ve been small my uncle has been like a father figure to me.

“He wanted to do something special for my prom and give me a great send-off from school.

“My uncle and family wanted to do something different for me so I didn’t have the same entrance as anyone else.

Though undeniably lavish, we simply cannot help but admire this young student’s extra nature. However, at £500 for just 15 minutes, this is an awfully expensive prom car hire deal.
