While many of us dream of one day owning a Lamborghini, experiencing how the other half live, for some, the supercar is simply a way to get from A to B. Being both expensive to buy, insure and maintain the Lamborghini range is rarely seen throughout UK cities. For this reason it is always upsetting to hear that such high-end cars are involved in collisions, with this weekend laying a stunning supercar to rest. Following a huge collision in Manchester city one yellow Lamborghini owner has been left rather upset, with the ‘crumpled wreck’ experiencing a stand off with a van and building scaffolding.

Taking place on Charles Street, the crash encourages passers-by to stop and stare, stunned by the demise of one of the world’s greatest cars.

Photographer Reece O’Bierne from Salford, was working at a local nightclub when he captured the aftermath of the crash.

He said the Lamborghini hit a van, and added: “The car was a complete mess. The bonnet was virtually gone, the engine was smashed to pieces and there was oil all over the road. ”

“There were quite a lot of people who had been in the nearby clubs and within 30 seconds a crowd of about 40-50 people had gathered and were all taking pictures.”

“It didn’t look like anyone was seriously hurt. The car will need some serious repairs, if it can be fixed at all. Someone’s going to have a massive insurance claim.”
